The '39 H the Super H replaced in May of '68 had 10-38 GY tires on it, new size would be 11.2X38 and they were tiny, and like HILLMAN says, it needed the smaller tires to make up for the lack of HP. As mentioned an M does have more power, but is bigger. I do things around my farm with my H that it is perfect for, and an M would never beable to do.
